Run this section as the client-facing comp desk: open Redfin manually to look for nearby sold homes from the last year, confirm public property details, request agent-run comps from Scott, or paste in sold homes from MLS/agent-provided data. Then choose only the strongest last-12-month sold homes that should appear in the protest packet.

Manual Redfin workflow: This site does not scrape Redfin. Open Redfin in a new tab, use its own filters for Sold and Last 12 months, compare homes near the subject property, and manually copy the address, sale date, price, square footage, beds, baths, distance, and notes into this worksheet.

Sales-data accuracy: Redfin can be a helpful reference, but verify every comp through MLS/agent-provided data, closing documents, BCAD records, or another reliable source before relying on it in a protest.

Where to submit this

File the finished packet with BCAD.

When the packet is complete, the protest itself is submitted through BCAD, not this website. Start with the BCAD Online Services Portal and use the Owner ID / Agent ID and PIN from the notice if requested. If online filing is not available, use the official protest form and BCAD instructions for mail, fax, in-person delivery, or the Online Help Center.

Deadline reminder: many protests are due May 15 or 30 days after the notice was mailed, whichever is later. Clients must confirm the exact deadline on the notice or with BCAD.

Bills and payments

BCAD handles appraised value. Bexar County tax office resources handle tax bills and payment questions.
